D&D Security Products originated from a merchandizing company that began operations in Southern Minnesota in the mid 1980s. In 1995, it was one of the first companies to sell security products on the Internet. In the following years, the business experienced the same explosive growth as  the Internet. In the late 1990s, Guard Dog Defense was founded as a marketing company and D&D Security Products moved it's alarm product line to this new company. In the year 2000, both companies were incorporated and now operate as private corporations with common ownership.  

The goal of both companies remain the same today, to provide inexpensive, difficult to find, legal products to protect your family, your property, and yourself.
